MetaD web, a web form based application to create metadata

It provides a new tool for those who want to create metadata without
download the software MetaD. The records created
can be downloaded into the user environment as XML files and / or sent
directly to CS IDEC to be incorporated into catalog .
You can create metadata series, datasets and services. The MetaD web is based on the application created by INSPIRE and can be downloaded from their geoportal , therefore the metadata created ensuring compliance with INSPIRE rules for the creation of metadata and data discovery services. Unlike the program MetaD, the web form not allowed metadata generation for more than one language. If you want to generate metadata in more than one language, you must repeat the process of introducing data for each language. As INSPIRE metadata, metadata are ISO 19115/19139 compliance, although the information fields cover only those sections that the Directive INSPIRE provides as necessary for the "discovery" , so that the entities that require more specific information about INSPIRE Annexes documentation, should use MetaD. Note: MetaD page validates information that complies with INSPIRE and because the Catalan language does not belong the lenguages recognized by INSPIRE. When you validate metadata generated in Catalan, the program returns two validation errors: - (2.4) For at least where datasets and series of keyword thesaurus GEMET Shall be documented. - (2.11.3) Metadata language is missing or has wrong value. These two errors do not prevent the storage of metadata or their subsequent delivery to CS IDEC. |
