We do not collect any names or addresses when you visit the site. Automatically we collect some information which does not personally identify you, such as the Internet domain name, IP address from which you access our web site, date of access, visited pages and the source's connection.
This information is useful for the statistics, to know users's preferences and to improve our services.
If you give us your information because you want to register on some services, your information will be used only for notify you about updates and improvements of geoportal and provide you the requested services.
We do not create individual profiles with the information you may provide us and we don't collect information for commercial uses.
Particular case of information in metadata.
Some metadata fields that refer to contacts for obtaining information about products, describes personal information of responsible such as: name, address, telephone, email, etc...
These data are public and available totally for all users. The providers organizations of metadata are responsible of the included data, its publication into IDEC catalog implies that your agreement.

Some applications use a session 'cookies', which contains a maps of identification parameters. These information are saved into the user's computer. This system facilitates the navigation and data's recuperation which has was used by the user. The cookie is eliminated at end of session. The cookies aren't used under any case to collect personal information or files into your computer.
Site segurity
To ensure a good service to the users and keep informed the providers about the behavior of its resources on Internet, different programms of monitoring services are used, about the network traffic, about the answer time or about the identification of unauthoized attempts to upload information or other operations not explicity allowed.
Connections to service providers
The map viewers show information of different sources (map servers).
On the legends of the layers there is a link to organizations suppliers, which are responsibles of the geoinformation. The CS IDEC doesn't take on any responsibility by the information policies, behavior of other services and features of these sites or the information they contain.
To view information about the characteristics of the WMS service you can consult the IDEC metadata catalog. Most of them are reviewed before its publication in the Catalog, but the quailty or the relevance of the data contained are responsibility of the metadata creator.
This review can not be applicable to the contained metadata in other's catalogs which can be connected to the CS IDEC's catalog.
The use of this information is subject to the Intellectual Property Law and related rules, and also, to conditions which each provider can indicate. When the users connect and link to a website are subject to the privacy and security policy of owners or managers of the site (service).
